The Wines

80% Roussanne, 20% Clairette blanche (late 1990s) from clay-siliceous soils, cool post pressing decantation, steel vat fermented 2 weeks at 16°-18°C, raised 4-5 months, malo blocked, filtered, 5,500 b

pale, flinty yellow. Lime and aniseed show in a direct and pretty zappy bouquet, one that stretches out from its low temperature fermentation. This has an orange zest, almond and nectarine flavour. It is fresh and citrus-like, tangy, towards the finish. It tales on a little peach on the aftertaste. There is a slightly bitter note that goes as it airs. This hangs together well, is a good, fresh wine with well-judged body. Drink as aperitif, or with salads, hors d’oeuvres. 13°. 5,500 b. To 2018  July 2016
