clear, red-tinted robe. The nose is restrained, has an underlying air of redcurrant and strawberry in appealing harmony. There is a very light sweetness. The palate runs easily with agreeable fleshy red-fruited content; there is a carbonic gas element on the attack, that brings a near spritz feel. The fruit persists in a fine register. The wine’s inner fineness comes through well. The aftertaste is clear, just a hint of aniseed-licorice there. Good fruit quality here. 14°. 5,000 b. 60% Gren, 20% Syr, 10% Cins, 10% Mourv. has a bang on pink robe; soft, red fruits nose, supple and broad, with flower/geranium tones. Really good fruit on palate – soft red fruits with some acidity and decent length, A little late white pepper so the fruit is broad and active at the finish. Nice end grip. Drink with roast pork, lobster and Coquiille St Jacques – scallops - for instance. June 2007
