quite a dark red. There is a lurking reduction on the nose, so decant it; it comes with dried herbs, some red meat, raspberry liqueur, is a rather rugged bouquet. The attack is solid, closely packed, with red berry fruit, has inner potency. It’s not quite all together, is several parts lined up, not in a row. The finish is compact. It’s a solid Côtes du Rhône, for beef, red meats. It needs to fuse, and to extend its for now steep finish. The length is fair. It’s a bit low on charm, takes the solid, sturdy route, but can get there. From 2019. 2024-25 Feb 2018

fair red robe. The nose has an air of plum and garden red berry fruit with a soft floral aspect. The palate is supple, immediate, holds red berry fruit with spicing as it closes. Has a little charm, good with sauced dishes. Local feel present, a wine that hasn’t been overdone in the cellar. 14°. 40,000 b. €7.50. To 2017.  Jun 2015

quite a dark red. Nutty, red cherry, liqueur style air that is clean and bright, shows a little sweetness. The palate starts tightly, comes with a simmer of power, its fruit squeezed out a little at the end. Grenache-centric, plum fruit lies at its heart. Has a nutty, toffee finale. Modern, polished up wine. Decant it – it needs more freedom. 14.5°. 2017-18  Oct 2012
