75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, destemmed, 3-5 week vinification at 25°C-32°C, vat raised 9 months


dark red robe. This has an open, broad and copious nose, a sweet infill of red fruits, a hint of reduction. It centres on a plump aroma of raspberry liqueur fruit. The palate is charged up from the start, attacks with a gust of southern power and potential headiness. The flavour rests on griottes, soaked red cherries. The tannins are pretty ripe. The balance is at slight threat from its power, I find, and the sign-off is a bit dry from the vintage drought. From 2020. 2028-30 Oct 2017
