2010

very clear, shiny red; nutty, young, post-raising air - the red fruit is sleek and comes with a floating air of herbs. The palate is suavely textured, then becomes marked by slightly brittle tannins. It carries its fruit past half way, has gras within, then ends on dusty pepper. It needs to round its finish. From late 2012. 14.5°. To 2018 Feb 2012

2009

medium red colour, a bit of advance on the top. Has a rounded, three-quarter depth air of mulled red berry fruits, along with notions of baked herbs, cedar and even animal. The palate leans towards a chunky middle – it is compact there after a sweet fruit start. It ends on still apparent acidity. Its baked undercurrent in texture is faithful to the vintage. Has a licorice, gummy aftertaste. Best to decant this. Reliable, no fireworks Rasteau. To 2018. May 2012 Previously April 2011 No Rating 2 bottles tasted: both are very reduced. There are floral notes on the nose, but the wine is compressed, hollow. Lacks clarity, lift. 15.5°. April 2011
