(vat) bold dark red, black-tinted robe. This has a good, rather luscious aroma of ripe and forthcoming black cherries, with tar hovering. It’s full of beans, shows some herbes de Provence, has secure depth. Rock n’roll hits town here! This is real w.o.w. wine with an immediate burst of lively black fruits, fine grain tannins with neat crispness, ending on licorice. It has good heart, and is fluid, live, bouncy wine. Black cherry is the central flavour. The tannins are still evident in a good way, are purposeful. This is Boom Boom wine, lights up a dark day. 2021-22 Sept 2017
