dark robe, a full, dark red with crimson. The nose has a brooding depth, blackberry fruit at its centre, a raspberry and near red meat backing that is intense. It’s wide and curvy thanks to its ripeness, with lots of berry fruit present. Sweetness and florality feature in it. The palate brims with a thorough dark berry fruiting, extends with ripe tannins, a discreetly firm couch. The degree is largely within, and buttresses the finish, making it complete. This will be good with beef, duck, has nice breadth for them. The fruit has a liqueur, ripe style; it’s spherical wine with ripe depth. 14.5°. 2022-23 July 2017

sober, quite dark robe. Stewed fruits air with a stemmy aspect, a note of spirit, maybe lees, green olive. There is a note of carbonic gas on the palate, with a green stem, drying aspect. The acidity isn’t right, and the degree is high - 15.5°. 95% Gren, 5% Syr. €9 at cellars. Bottled April 2013. Oct 2013

bright, dark red plum colour; vegetal, stalky nose – fruit not on show. Has a candied red fruit taste – not pleasant, has an aggressive kick, is tarry. Unconvincing.  June 2008
