NV (2013)

yellow robe. The nose gives pear fruit, a soft aroma, buttery notes. It glides nicely, has a wee point of aniseed. The palate wells up immediately on cool fruit, cooked lemon paste, peach and pear. There is relative fineness and a supple stage on the finish, though it is less extended than the Tradition. It ends on jam fruits: “the finish here is more jam fruit (confit) with the Clairette bringing freshness to the Tradition,” Frédéric Raspail. 7.5°. €9.50. Apr 2016
