2006 ()

light yellow robe, with rich aspects, legs down the glass. Prominent, full style of bouquet, with plenty of perfume in the fruit, and some spice. Quite a gourmand wine – the 2006 has less acidity than the 2005 – with a fat middle and fair persistence. A hint of late oak tightens it. Lacks some cut. Length is OK. Aperitif drinking best. 14.5°. To 2011-12. Jan 2008

2001

varied with time and different bottles - * to *** - as in * out of kilter, sugary. Butter, pear, spice. Some richness, bonbon, sugared pear flavour. Dec 2003 pear, toasted prolonged aroma; sappy, with grip, works well. Clear flavour, lovely style. Light oak end. March 2003
