(228-litre cask) dark red; the nose shows reduction, dark red fruits, is rather full, savoury, has ripe notes, holds well. There is a good strike on the attack, the fruit streams clearly, the juice travels freely. It takes on crisp tannins. There are touches of iron the close that give lift, ping. 2025-26 Dec 2019

2018

dark, bright red; Raspberry, red cherry feature in a welcoming nose that bears touches of lead pencil, cut. The palate sets off with bright red fruits, is threaded with violet, peony. There are fine powder tannins on the finish. This gives successful drinking, is really joli, fragrant, and good à table, as well. It’s right there – style, character, clarity, is fresh, Burgundian, will amplify a bit. Bottled Sept 2019. 13.5°. €18. To 2025 Dec 2019
