(cask, to be bottled July 2011) dark robe; oak-led aroma, has a rich core. Chocolate and oak influence on the palate, which holds good, ripe fruit within, with power in its wing. Less oak from 204, and the richness will emerge more on its own. Not a terroir wine. “The intention is for it to age so it is on oak and power for now. I left some stems on to give the wine tension,” F.Merlin. 13.5°. 2021-22 Nov 2010
