2018

(cask, bottling Jan 2021) bright red; black hedgerow fruit, blackberry leads the nose which is lucid, has a light vegetal note. The content is very refined, comes in gentle waves, is classy. Oak runs through it. It’s polished, will do well, has Burgundian leanings. Ideal for a large glass. Increased whole bunch use this year – 50% to 60%, usual is 20%. “It goes well long,” Lionel Faury. €29.50 export via Thorman Hunt, GB. From mid-2023. 2037-39 Nov 2019

2017

(casks) nicely dark red robe. The nose has reserves of depth, a flourish of soaked red cherries to come, has its own neat serenity, is nicely curvy. The palate is juicy, and flows well, tasty red fruit central to it; this is a real charmer, lengthens with poise. There is a good pocket of fresh length, the balance is good, and it’s classy. 14°. €29.50 export. From spring 2020. 2034-36 Nov 2018

2013 ()

attractive bright red robe. The nose is beau, shows raspberry fruit, has a silky nature – it is stylish and effortless. The attack is bright, flows easily with spice and clear-cut red fruit. It gains grip on the end, a neat little concentration of red juice there. There is an implicit 2013 freshness in this. It is fine boned, if a wee bit spare. 13°. 2025-26 March 2017

2012 ()

(casks) shiny, quite dark red. Has a soft, low profile nose with sweet tones, shows mulled red berries. The palate is also a soft, squeezy textured affair; there are attractive roundness and gourmandise in its fleshy red fruit, which is followed by a wee pocket of mineral cut at the end. A serene style of wine. From 2015. 14°. 2021-23  Nov 2013
