2010 ()

(casks) dark red, a bit of black. Has a precise bouquet of good potential, the elements are in place – a good start. A little oak is laid in with a smoky black cherry, good purity, even if there is slight reduction today. The palate takes up the baton from the nose, is clearly fruited, and has a very good sparkle in its delivery, ending up with a little mineral, even if a bit abruptly. The balance is good, but it is on its oak for now. Stylish gras will handle the oak. From late 2014. 2024-26 Nov 2011

full red robe, plum colour; the nose is reserved, has latent potential, and there is a pretty floral waft across it. This is a good, stable bouquet that is harmonious and fragrant in the making. The palate gives attractive red fruit that is accessible now. It gains clarity and a point of focus as it goes, as if the schist spring cleans it. This is good, true, pretty Côte-Rôtie, and I like the late fragrance on the palate where there is a tiny sprinkle of pepper and white spice in the soft fruit. Good length. There is some late oak, but it is not intrusive. 2016-17 Dec 2008
