The Wines

Roussanne from Chavanay & Saint-Michel-sur Rhône, steel vat fermented at low temperature, raised part steel vat, part used oak casks 6 months, until 2011 Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes Roussanne, 17,600 b

2012 ()

fine yellow. Buttery, peach-pear aroma that sits quietly in the glass. The palate gives an instant, flattering, ball of gras richness, has a squelchy side to it, is a wee bit contrived, and could have a more genuine foundation. There is fine late grip, toasting here. Drink with simple flavours. 12°. 17,600 b. Deliberately made as a light, uncomplicated wine to get on with. 2015-16  Nov 2013
