dark red; sweet notes show on the bouquet’s black fruit, licorice, with smoke-oak. The palate holds cool blackberry, blueberry fruit, streams along well, has keen clarity, but is a touch exerted towards the finish, builds from that. The close is unmade for now. From 2021. 2030-32 Nov 2019

bright, quite full red robe. The nose is discreetly reserved, promising, mixes elder and black berry, a hint of vegetal; it has a calm, assured presence. The palate offers joli wavy fruit across the attack, is well juiced through to a more powder-granular finish. This holds a quiet elegance. There are droplets of joli fruit on the close, wee floral airs there. This is a wine of detail. Just makes it to ****. Decant it. 13°. From 2020. 2032-34 Nov 2018
