yellow robe; the nose is on reduction, carbonic gas, has a cluster of dried fruits, quince. This has a firm make-up, white plum flavours, a solid core, ending closely-knit. This is table wine, not ready yet. I would put this aside. It has freshness and direction on the second half, and time will deliver more expression, and open it up. It has integrity.13°. Bottled May 2019. €15 at the cellars. Drink from 2022 on. 2025-26 Dec 2019

2017 ()

bright, shiny yellow robe. Greengage plum, dried fruits lead the nose, with a light air of cooked lemon, agreeable toasting, roast nuts also. The palate expresses white peach, grapiness, white strawberry, honey touches on the finish. The gras is attractive. Roussanne is ahead of Marsanne in influence – it is aromatic and tender, including at the end. There’s neat juice and calm delivery here, an elegant wine it is. It’s a good first go from very young vines. 1,800 b. €15. To 2021 Dec 2018
