full red, inviting robe. Pepery side to the nose, with attractive black Syrah fruit behind, is quite a cool bouquet. Agreeable palate – this drinks well, has pliant qualities, and extends on to a quite tight finish, and is clear there. Good, drinkable Saint-Joseph. 13°. To 2016. June 2011

2007

uninspiring red robe; mild red fruits nose – pepper, cigarette smoke. The palate is drinkable now, but the red fruit has sry, rather “steely” tannin. The fruit tapers at the end. Rather angular wine. Ends clearly. To 2012 Nov 2009

red robe; the nose shows some red berry, quite safe fruit that sits comfortably, has baked airs also. The palate mixes clear fruit with mineral thrust. It is stretched, and tapers. Regular fruit here – nothing of real character or nuance. The finish is hard. 13°. June 2008

black fruit, spice, berries bouquet. Some black jam, then tightens, shows licorice. Quite nice juice inside it, bit dry at end. Sound. Has closed in last year. Esp 2005 on. 2010-11 March 2004
