yellow robe; the bouquet gives a “high” fruit, ripe fruit aroma, a note of damp wool, varnish, with white peach, peach stone on the agenda. The palate has a low temperature fermentation, clipped style, with a note of banana in the flavour. This is mainstream, cultured yeasts wine, the finish low on fresh fruit, interest. 12.5°. 100% Marsanne. €10.05. To 2023 Nov 2019

2017

firm yellow robe, with a note of pear skin in it. The bouquet bears an aroma of compote of stewed white fruits, peach and nectarine to the fore. It’s rich enough for la table. The palate continues on a peach-nutty trail, has the body for saffron seasoned fish dishes, risottos. It’s a grounded style of white Crozes, a little on power on the close, the strength out on its own with a note of tobacco there. It lacks late expression. 13°. 100% Marsanne. 2026-27 Dec 2018

yellow robe. Has a good, clean aroma that floats nicely, a charming white flowers, peach with apricot mix. The palate holds easy content with a direct line of delivery, captures the vintage freshness. The aftertaste is trim, rounded, notes of peach stone and some grip there. 14°. 10,000 b. €4.97 export. To 2020 Oct 2016

fine, bright yellow robe. The nose gives an air of “high” fruit, peach, maybe ripe melon, brioche, baked bread. The palate commences on tangy white fruits, and gives a little white raisin, roasted nuts, increased depth, before the finish. This is a neat ball of white Crozes, comes in the modern, airborne style, and will drink with soft cheese, poultry. 13°. 10,000 b. €4.97 export. To 2019  Oct 2015

2013

fine yellow colour, legs visible. This has a pear-peach lead aroma that resides in a neatly assembled, soft nose, no loose ends. The palate is also soft, and well marshalled, bears immediate, pliant richness, the texture agreeable. Nutty, cooked orange notes on the aftertaste speak correctly of the Marsanne. Wine for food over aperitif. 13°. €4.97 export. To 2019  Jan 2015

2012

pale, very flinty colour. Has a supple, undemanding air of ginger, Myrtille plum, spiced pear, quite an interesting combo. There is limited range on the palate: the colour suggests that, while the nose is more interesting. Rather dumb, modest fare here: the flavour is nutty, hasn’t enough stuffing to engage. Escapist wine. 13°. €4.97 ex cellars, €8.70 retail at the cellars. To 2016  Nov 2013

2011

pale, shiny yellow, a good looking robe. Flowers, buttercups in a fresh as a dandy bouquet that sets up the aperitif well. There are light airs of vanilla, hazelnut, ginger, honey. This has the dance of springtime in its step. The palate bears decorous fruit; there are really stylish lines through it, never a false step is trod. There is good Marsanne squeeze on the finish, where it tightens with charm. It ends on a mix of almond, vanilla, honeycomb. Very good a delight, an STGT wine that is suited for tarts, quiches, vegetable pasta, courgette dishes. Very good balance, a lovely aperitif also. 13°. 2015-16  Nov 2012

level yellow colour. Citrus, vanilla airs, a little cardboard, and nut paste, wheat, in an agreeable bouquet, even if it doesn't quite sound like that. This is an “in the here and now” wine – it emphasizes its Marsanne hazelnut most on the finish, and has a good rich texture. The attack shows ripe white fruits. Can be drunk solo, or also with noodle soups, for instance, Japanese dishes. 13.5°. To 2016 Nov 2011

2009 ()

glinty, pale yellow; appealing, sympa bouquet led by white stone fruits, honeysuckle, fennel, has a little tang as it should being 100% Marsanne. The palate is also tasty and easy, a w.o.w. wine that carries through to the finish with a little flair and variety. Has gentle, clear flavours. Perfect aperitif. 13.5°. To 2013. July 2010

2002

sappy, cooked green apple mose. Some bonbon flavour, fairly round greengage. Bit short.

2001 ()

white fruit, salty, fesh nose. Peachy, tangy flavour. Quite firm end, some final heat.
