(cask) yellow robe; the bouquet has a subdued, honeyed, oaked aroma, an air of apricot and aniseed, is finely composed. The palate gives suave, refined content, oak apparent along its path; it comes with a flavour of flan. It has squeezy richness on the second half, a plump bearing that is nutty towards the close, the length good. The aftertaste takes on a discreet note of welcome clarity, lift. This needs two years to come together, absorb its oak. From 2022, thus. 2029-31 Nov 2019

yellow colour. Has honey-lime airs, gives a careful show today, is on toasting, is buttery, is still in the cellar. This has a redondo, shapely richness, a fleshy orb of content, some succulence in a squeezy finale. It’s not showing a lot of definition. The flavour involves grape essence, quince, white peach, honey. There is some late acidity to give salty moments there. A fine wine will emerge served in a large glass. It drifts just a bit after half way. 13.5°. 1,500 b. Bottled Oct 2017. Leave until spring 2020. 2026-27 March 2018

full, bright yellow; oak glances across its nose, with honey and grilled toast present, and extra depth from a lingering pineapple air. The oak sets the tone for now. The palate's white fruits have a squeezy texture, and a parallel line of more austere oak. The tone here is fat and generous, it is certainly a rich wine. The oak prevails on the finish, where there is late power. Proper sit-down wine for sauced dishes, well thought-out foods. From mid-late 2010. 2017-18 Dec 2008

quite a dark robe; there is oak within the black fruit on the nose – which renders it upright. The palate holds fair early black fruit that is quite clear-cut – it has the grain of its St Jean location – that tension from the granite. It needs leaving until April 2009 – its freshness is correct for the terroir. It is rather austere now, although its richness is here in a moderate register now. Tarry aftertaste. Patience best. 2014-15 Jan 2008
