2018 ()

full, dark robe; the bouquet is wide, shows black olives, a well up of ripe fruit, has a very plump shape. The palate bears soaked fruited content, rich and ripe tannins, stokes up the power as it goes. This is not easy to drink, is a taker rather than a giver of energy. It lines up copious black berry fruits, but drinking it is rather like wading through thick ground. There’s a note of grain tannin on the chocolate-like close. From 2022, if that brings a looser, more agreeable fabric to the wine. 14°. 2030-31 Nov 2019
