2018 ()

cloudy, full yellow; the nose has scale, isn’t fully evident, but gives a calm line of cool white fruits, a helpful note of spearmint, aniseed with a grapey offering. The palate is well furnished with dried fruits’ flavours, notes of apricot, provides grip towards the finish. It has the capacity to pair with scallops, turkey, a good array of dishes. The finish is secure, on some lip smacking gras. There is a slight perlant note through it, but that isn’t an issue. 100% Marsanne. €14. 2024-25 Nov 2019

2017 ()

shiny pale yellow; the bouquet has nutty airs, light honey, notes of peach. The palate is direct, a bit over streamlined, has soft touches within, a tangy finale. It’s a bit undecided, the palate firm – it could use more gras richness, and I wonder if it was pressed a mite too hard. 13.5°. To 2021 Dec 2019
