2016 ()

(vat/casks) dark red robe. The nose leads on expressive cassis fruit, with some underlying sweetness, a coulis style to it, a note of red meat. It’s very juvenile, not yet varied. The palate attacks well, immediately, on close-up and personal black fruits with succulent tannins making the extended finish curvy. It has inner concentration, and more power than appears on the surface. Wait until 2021 at least for this, serve in a large glass, decant beforehand. It will do well with game dishes. 14.5°. 8,000 b. 2035-38 Oct 2017
