(large barrel) full, dark red colour; the bouquet holds black berry fruit, pastille or lozenge-like, has a note of prune ripeness. The palate starts with aromatic berry fruit, has a suave texture until the entry of light grain tannins. Its mid-palate is a little escapist, but there is pleasure in its drinking. This departs from 100% Grenache, and is 85% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault. From 2022. 2043-45 Oct 2019

(large barrel) dark red. Has a nose of broad strength, black fruit airs with a thorough depth, black olives, mocha, smoke; there’s a near prune take. The palate has a stylish opening via wavy and engaging black fruits, with good gras of flair. It is well fuelled with plump generosity, very 2016 in that regard. The length is good, suave and prolonged – it ends with some freshness, menthol. “The 2015 of this is more fine than the 2016, which is richer,” Yves Gras. From 2022. 2042-44 Oct 2017

dark robe. The bouquet is southern, on black olives, a good depth of raspberry fruit liqueur, has smoky elements, wide shoulders. The palate is well fuelled with striking gras richness, lots of coating, travels fluidly and well all along the palate. This captures its place well, is STGT Châteauneuf, with a thorough Grenache heart. There are real good flashes of juiced richness that give it spark and interest. It’s impressively long, if still wired. It will amplify with further time. Buckle up, and enjoy the ride in a large glass around 2026. From 2021. 2034-37 Mar 2018 Previously Sept 2016 ****(*) (barrel) quite a dark red. The nose breathes some density of red berries, that come in a thick coulis style, the fruit simmered through. There is a low-key floral hum. The palate has a full inner, a layered depth of gras, produces tannins that assert with stealth towards the finish. This has structure, intensity, is a full wine without being obvious. It’s handsome, sustained, long, and the fruit purity is classy. Decant it. From 2020. 2033-35  Sept 2016
