65% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 5% Syrah, fermented by saignée or bleeding juice off the skins at 18-20°C, 80% vat raised, 20% 275-litre oak cask raised 4-6 months with lees stirring

some orange in the pink robe; mild, quite harmonious red fruits bouquet that is pretty well knit, is also a little waxen and steely. Palate starts with low key redcurrant fruit, but is hidden towards the finish. The acidity is an issue - it comes in a fresh style, but is rather taut and demands food. Tangy aftertaste. Try fish with this. June 2007
