60% Grenache, 40% Syrah (av age 45 years) from alluvial, limestone outcrop, marl soils on Les Carbonnières & La Jasse , hand harvested, destemmed and crushed, 20-30 day vinification at 30°C, 3 daily pumping overs for part, cap punching for another part, malo in cask, Syrah aged new, 1-2 year 275-litre oak casks 14-18 months, Grenache cconcrete vat raised 14-18 months, filtered


(cask/vat, bottling June 2016) filled, dark red robe. The bouquet has a sweet, thorough presence of cooked  damson plum, prune fruit, is well rounded and easy to appreciate; there is also a note of licorice, black raisin. The palate offers cooler fruit than the nose, with a sprinkle of fine tannins, a note of chocolate, toffee and prune, on the close. Safe, steady Gigondas, a little manufactured. 14.5°. 60% Gren, 40% Syr. €20.50. From spring 2017. 2025-26  Dec 2015
