60% Grenache (2011), 40% Syrah (2004) from clay soils around the 44 hectare domaine, very early morning harvesting, concrete vat fermented 25+ days at max 16°C after direct pressing & 48 hour cool decantation at 15°C, vat raised 4 months, malo blocked, unfined, filtered, “drink with summer vegetable grilled on la plancha”, 29-35,000 b


pale Provence pink robe. This has an attractive, sweet-noted redcurrant with elderberry aroma, a pinpoint of licorice. The palate is threaded with the fizz of carbonic gas, has a soft, rather sweet strawberry flavour, the pulp of strawberries. The aftertaste also shows sweetness, a fleshy note. It’s a touch flashy, drinks with lamb cutlets, cold white meats. It has an aromatic style. Serve it well chilled. 13.5°. 60% Gren, 40% Syr. 29,300 b. Syrah harvested 31 August, Grenache 6 September.
