2018

dark red; the bouquet is a sweet affair, on plum fruits, red fruits, with a lozenge-like style. The palate is immediately on the go, with free fruit, a juicy abundance, and a little note of darkness from the tannins towards the finish. It’s an easy drinking Cairanne that holds its line well enough, even if it’s a little arm’s length. The finish is spiced, grainy. It will do well with barbecued beef. 14.5°. 2023-24 Sept 2020

2017

dark red robe, joli gleam in it. The bouquet has a husky aspect, has a black berry fruit centre with some oily, local notes, a hint of pepper and prune. The palate is wholesome, engaging, gets going well, with a true run of spiced black fruit content. The tannins add interest and depth on the close, giving a classic structure to the wine. The fruit will extend further over time. Decanting helpful. 15°. From late 2020. 2033-35 Mar 2019
