(casks) shiny yellow robe; the bouquet is quiet, but has style in its lurking white fruits, white raisin airs. There is some pinpoint toasting, a neat contribution from that. The palate has enjoyable richness on the attack, is supple and pleasing, a peach-white plum flavour, the finish well rounded, a little silken. Its white fruits are pure, well delivered. It drinks with ease now, even though it’s not yet bottled. Time will help to expand its finish. Marks for elegance here, a well made Chateauneuf. 394 b. 2029-30 Nov 2020
