2018 ()

(vat) dark robe; the nose is backward, offers a little raspberry fruit, with a touch of herbs. The fruit has a streamlined nature. The palate is polished, a little clinical, bears straightforward red fruits, red cherries with thrust in the tannins that sets the fruit back, the aftertaste dry, exerted. Excess cellar work here… extraction alert. 75% Gren, 15% Syr, 5% Mourv, 5% Cins, 2% Syr. €27.5 at the cellars. From 2023, decant it, hope for the best. 2036-38 Feb 2020

2016 ()

(vat) dark red with black tints colour, legs visible. The nose is well rounded, via a black cherry, open aroma that has a neat sweetness. The palate is thickly juiced, bears fleshy content with a fine grain set of tannins that work well into its frame, bring a relative delicacy. Black pepper bursts through on the finish, blueberry fruit there, a coolness from that. This has good, secure length. From 2021, not before. 15°. 8,400 b. €24.15. 2035-38 Oct 2017

2001

chocolate, full style of bouquet, caramel and beef stock in the line-up also. Tight knit fruit on palate, is a big scale wine, very solid. Still tight at end. 2014-15 July 2005
