100% Syrah, destemmed, pre-fermentation crop cooling, 10-18 day vinification, part vat emptying/refilling, twice daily pumping overs, cap punching, raised 85% concrete or steel vat, 15% used 400-litre oak casks 8-10 months, unfined, filtered, wine for supermarkets

dark red robe; the nose has a sweet frontage, crushed red berry fruits, has a low-key coolness centrally. The palate bears a sound weight of dark berry fruit, is softly, squeezy textured. It holds well into the finish, which is munchy. It drinks OK now, no waiting around. Good with stews. 13.5°. 2022 Nov 2019
