2018 ()

mild red colour; the nose is aa bit reduced, will benefit from air. There is a sweet-noted plum fruit presence within. It’s a little brief. The palate is soft, easy, the shape round, shows a little raspberry fruit in the closing stages. 13.5°. 2021 Nov 2019

2016

red robe, pale rim. The nose has an air of simmered raspberries, a backdrop of licorice, mulberry, plus an aromatic, musky note from the Viognier. The palate is soft, comes with a mineral grain in its red fruits, drinks easily, has a little squeeze of texture. It gives perfectly sound drinking, even if there is a feel of high production wine. The aftertaste is on red fruits, is cool. 12.5°. To 2020 Nov 2017

2015

dark red. Rampant reduction on the nose – pongy farmyard. That makes life tricky for the consumer who isn’t a real wine buff. There is an air of “high”, on the turn, prune-blackberry within. The palate bears easy going, soft gras richness with a little tang and salt delivered to pep up the finish, where there is tar-charcoal. Serve this lightly chilled; it risks being too opulent otherwise from the Viognier. 13°. To 2019 Oct 2016
