2018

(vat) red robe; sweet tuned red berry aroma, hint of vegetal, dried herbs. The palate is soft, flattering, is an early drinking, perfumed Châteauneuf without great body. It ends on an easy roundness, the red juice still there. It could carry more conviction, richness. From 2021. 2031-33 Dec 2019

2017

(vat) dark red robe, a plum hue at the top. The nose is plump and appealing, has a savoury nature, sweet strawberry jam on the inside. The palate links well, offering a further bout of red berry flavour with some joli floral appeal attached. The fruit density is good. The tannins have enjoyable layering, and it works well in the more en finesse style of Châteauneuf that should be present most years. It doesn’t suggest excess on the degree, and works well as a whole. Serve in a large glass. From mid-2020. 2037-39 Feb 2019

2016 ()

(vat) dark red. Has an easy going, red-fruited nose, raspberry with a soft floral connection, some sweet raspberry coulis, a hint of mulberry depth. The palate is open and joli, all neat and tasty, will be a crowd pleaser via its sweet, gourmand red juicing. It takes on a little extra layer of tannin thickness towards the finish. The fruit is fine tuned, is a little limited in complexity. This is simple, restrained Châteauneuf, with mild tannins. Decanting advised. From 2020. 2033-35 Jan 2018

2015 ()

red robe. An air of sweet strawberry jam leads a sultry, perfumed bouquet, Grenache prominent. The palate has a peppery, spiced debut, runs on plum fruits with fleshy gras, a little late crunch. This is correct, a bit workmanlike, a wine for early drinking – it has already been bottled. It sustains pretty well, with gras present on the close. 14.5°. 6,600 b. 2026-28 Oct 2016

2013

red robe. Open, already running bouquet, some rounded red berry fruit, an air of smoke and rocky cut. The palate combines grainy moments with a lissom red berry, a small crunch of tannin at end. Fresh, pretty direct wine. From mid-2016. Workmanlike. 14°. 2023-24  Oct 2015

2011

(vat) shiny red robe; chicken stock, cooked red berry fruits aroma, notes of tea and iris flowers – a nose of some substance. The palate delivers lusty early fruit that has life and “bounce” in it, carries a good way along the palate. Modern, clean, a bit simple. Has a succulent red fruit lozenge finish. Not yet into local virtues. 15°. 2025-26 Dec 2012
