fine yellow robe, very clear. The bouquet is refined, marked by a salty top note, a light pear, peach and vanilla pod depth below. There is a tang of aniseed. The palate drinks easily, with a light tread, has the charm for the aperitif, or to accompany hors d’oeuvres, charcuterie, black olives. Greengage and white peach feature in the flavour. It’s neat, but could be just a bit more exciting. 14°. To 2018  June 2016

yellow robe. The bouquet is evolving a little, now into dried fruits such as apricot, with greengage plum. There is a little mild oaking. The palate shows the oak more obviously, has supple gras, but the oak detracts from some of the fruit definition. It’s workmanlike, correct, but not more than that. Drink à table, with chicken in sauce, for instance. 14°. To 2018  June 2016 Previously Feb 2016 *** fine yellow robe. The nose is open and expressive, with salted clarity to the fore. It combines dried fruits, a little flan depth, is jaunty. There is tangerine and a note of gooseberry. The palate sequels well from the nose, is fresh, nutted, grippy wine, unusually bracing for a southerner – it is very much a vintage and fresh by design child. It ends firmly, and with saltiness. It’s a little Spartan, spare, on the wire. I’m not sure it has the body to amplify over time, has a near bitter aspect. 13.5°. 2019-20  Feb 2016

yellow robe with a wine of the south in its aspect. Has a bonny, gentle bouquet, presents airs of dried fruits, lime, peach – it is an attractive bundle. The palate is also enjoyable, has fine freshness, travels safe and sound, the length well lifted. This has toothsome qualities, is full of style and good value. It has a nutty, apricot inspired aftertaste, with a little spice. This is light and easy to drink, is a w.o.w. wine, a good aperitif. This is good VALUE. 13.5°. To 2018  Dec 2015

fine yellow colour; buttery, simmered white fruits air showing strawberry, peach a little banana – the nose is quite deep. The palate has a good foundation, a rich by design middle, then a gentle carry, a measured finale. It ends with fat, some grain, is clear there, with a wee burnt note, and grip. Its fat is pretty elegant. Foods such as Asiatic cuisine, chicken. 14.5° - not a patsy, less likely for the aperitif, thus. 2019-20  Oct 2013

pale yellow. Cooked pear, light bonbon airs, candy notes, cooked pear, stewed apple. It is aided by good pockets of mineral. The palate turns on its white jam, is soft and aromatic, with honey and tangerine cut at the end, marmalade. There are suggestions of exotic fruits on the aftertaste. Good style, good Laudun with harmony and depth, a bit of late heat. 14°. 2016-17 Oct 2012

white fruits nose; this 50 cl bottle is better than the one last night – it does not ask many questions, but it is round, agreeable, has decent length. Both drunk in restaurants in Avignon. 2014-15 March 2011

2009

yellow robe, grey streaks. Honeysuckle, spring flowers airs, with a good, fat interior – dried white fruits, licorice and pear feature here. There is a fennel and aniseed infusion into a very agreeable flavour – this is a fine wine, stylish for both aperitif and precisely flavoured dishes. Varnish, wax late moments. The balance is pretty good; I like its fine clarity. 14°. To 2015. June 2010

baked, buttery, high tone notes in quite a streamlined nose. Honeycomb flavours lead the palate, then it follows with mid-palate gras, the length is good. Live wine, with nice breadth on the finish. 14°. To 2011. As usual, this is a great success. March 2009

2006 ()

ripe, white fruits aroma – peach in the front rank, is a little waxen as well – a delightful bouquet. Has a richly founded palate – true and good depth here in this savoury wine with notably good length. Apricot and almost a taste of red fruits late in the palate. This is a rare domaine of large white wine production, with good quality to go with that. Can serve for both food and the aperitif. 2010-12 Oct 2007

2004 ()

mild, pear tinted aroma. Palate has some nutty flavours, is well woven, and has good body. Runs on very clear lines, makes a good aperitif. Clean finish. Clairette helps it, and I like its firm, dry core. To 2010-12 Sept 2005

this is showing well now, is better integrated than six months ago, is till rounded. The nose is buttery, a little earthy. The flavour shows a wee bit of bonbon sweets but is flavoursome, the length sound. It seems as if there some residual sugar on the finish. This is short-term wine.
