dark robe, purple rim. Stewed fruits, prune feature in a lusty aroma, which has the curve of ripe fruits, notes of mulled fruits, damp soil, black olives. The palate delivers a good roll and run of black berry, aromatic fruits with ripe, bright tannins emerging towards the finish. This is wholesome, nicely filled, genuine Lirac, a good southern wine, the second half moving the texture to a little graininess and a note of mulberry. It’s very good for a newly established grower, the length and local portrait. 15°. 4,000 b. 60% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Mourvèdre, 10% Carignan. Bottled 23 May 2018.
