80% 1950s Grenache, 20% 1970s Syrah, whole bunch, 12-18 day fermentation, aged 2-4 year oak casks 18 months, filtered

2001 ()

smoky, compact fruit nose with some bacon within. Berried fruit is open and quite deep. Grows OK through the palate, has a sprinkle of end tannin. Aftertaste is a jam flavour, raspberry. Still vigorous, to 2008.  Feb 2004
