medium depth red robe. Has a notably smoky, brambleberry aroma, pine resin notes; it’s free and easy, not especially deep, shows raspberry also. The palate is also medium weight, has an aromatic side to its plum fruit, holds mild tannins and a nudge of tar on the finish. It might have been more interesting harvested a day or two later – more depth. As it is, it offers straightforward, slightly escapist drinking. 13.5°. 2024-25 Oct 2018
