The Wines

82% Shiraz, 18% Grenache

2005 ()

subdued robe, brown tints in the black. Beef stock, “wuide” nose – not over powerful, but gives a dense menthol. The palate carries “dark”, mature, ripe fruit – the emphasis is on muscle rather than clarity. Steady late richness, with a similar line of tannin. Nature wine, whose balance is OK. “Richness over elegance,” Chester Osborn, “Quite mature and intense, has a fair bit of oak,” Drew Noon. 2013-15 Oct 2009
