dark red, black traces. Pepper, tar front nose, but floral-violet aromas close behind, vanilla touches, briar. Grippy red fruit on the palate – it persists with a clear, notably fresh run, and the aftertaste is bright, shows the tang of licorice. Drinks well now. Good, esp given the drought year. 14.5° 2015-16 Oct 2009 A$35
