The Wines

2007

red, bright, thorough robe. Gracious red fruit with a floral air, toffee and a firmer underlay resembling a mild Islay peat, some present find the blacksmith’s forge. The palate is elegant, leaning towards a Côte-Rôtie style with a plump, rounded middle to late sequence. It ends on a fine berried stretch – there is a steel cut there, a mineral display. Good, clear aftertaste. 14.5°. 2022-24 Oct 2009
