shiny dark red; the nose is charming, round, easy to like – has a raspberry fruit air, with soft herbs, a note of blueberry also, a cooler fruit. This has local expression. The palate serves good, stylish black fruit, is clear, suave, runs well. This offers a good glass of wine for roast meats, Sunday lunches. Very soft tannins fit in well, add smoothness to the texture. Attractive wine, in the here and now, has a good and compact nature. 14°. €4.15 ex cellars. 40% Gren, 30% Syr, 30% Mourv this year. To 2018  Oct 2013

shiny, full red. The nose has potential, shows a balanced air of plum, red stone fruit, is good and genuine, round and orderly, the fruit clean. The palate links well to the nose – its squeezy fruit runs smoothly, the tannins are well embedded. It combines clear fruit with enough depth and power, provides attractive drinking. The finale is pretty complete. Can be decanted. 14°. From mid-2013. To 2018  Oct 2012

40G, 30% Syr, 30% M this year: full red; black cherry, soaked, supple air in a primary state, with black pepper trimming. Attractive spread of fruit across the palate, has a juicy middle, tightens slightly at the end, which is gutsy, on the power. Lengthens well. It is soft now, but I detect a little acidity. From 2012. 14.5°. To 2016. April 2011

dark, bright robe. Firm bouquet, not bad at all – black fruit, licorice, leather, has a tangy snap, iris and pepper. An interesting weave of black fruit, tannin and freshness on the palate: the fruit is steady, tannins tighten it gradually. Good heart, the fruit strikes a clear, nicely rich chord. 2013-14 Feb 2009

black cherry colour; soft and rounded black jam aroma – inviting, supple. Cherry, slight kirsch and dusty side to the aroma as it opens. Early palate is full of sleek, expressive black fruits with a marked licorice, Mourvèdre originated presence. Nice bit of tightening at the end as some tannin effects show up. Gamey little flourish on the finish. I can detect the roundness and soft fruit of the Plan de Dieu, without great punch or robust overtones. 13.5° 2010-12 Feb 2007
