2019 ()

dark plum colour; the bouquet shows reduction, so allow it to breathe. There is a brothy, savoury, stewed red stone fruits air on the inside, an underlying sweetness, hints of dried herbs. The palate engages well on the attack, holds fleshy, spiced content with a good, spirited bundle of richness accompanied by slightly parched, gummy tannins along the sides - they start to ease with air. It’s a wine de la terre, suited to stews, country dishes. Its rather rough and ready manner, no polishing, gives it character, is more traditional than modern. 90% Gren, 10% Syr. 13.5°. 2024-25 Nov 2020


clear red robe. The bouquet has verve, presents a neat centre of strawberry fruit with a coulis-liqueur lean to it. It’s an open arms start. The palate bears tasty, on the button red berry fruits, is a good cocktail of them, with immediate charm, and light floral notes in a curvy finish. This will please via its kind fruit and fragrance, is w.o.w. wine that keeps its shape via a slightly cool close. It will be humming in mid-late summer 2019, just a little more width on the closing stages. 80% Gren, 20% Syr. Zero added SO2. This guy has talent! On to his micro beers now. 13.5°. 2021-22 Mar 2019
