2016

(large 12 hl barrel) dark red. Has a weighted bouquet, oxtail, brewed black fruits, an insistent drumbeat, blueberry fruits in mass. The palate unfurls well, with a rich wave of dark, tangy, spiced fruits, dried herbs emerging towards the finish. It is downhome, has good “knuckle”, a chewy interior, with the tannins still quite rugged on the finish, which bears some menthol clarity. Good, genuine, of warm lands wine from the traditional school. 14°. 2,700 b. 50% Gren, 50% Mourv. From mid-2019. 2030-32 Feb 2018

2013 ()

(vat/casks) deep purple black colour. The nose is ripe and concentrated, with jammy, dark fruit notes. The palate is rich but refined, with layered fruit and firm but fine tannins. There’s also a minerally freshness. It is modern in style, but is harmonious. It bears the hallmark of a special cuvée. 14°. From spring 2016. 2022-23 JL Dec 2014
