2007 ()

largely full red robe; pepper top air to the nose – lies above a solid black fruit aroma, shows southern notes – a bounce of heat off the prairie. The palate black fruits are delivered with some abandon – this swings along well, has a free run of fruit and life. The finish is clear – it is now on the go. A wine of character, hearty and true – there is plenty in this, even though there is a slightly dusty note on the palate and the aftertaste is still tight. 13.5°. 2013-14 Feb 2009

2003

oily aroma with some garrigue herb and baked stones present – this is quite meaty in tone. The palate is well-knit, its fruit surrounded by substance – it is nicely solid. Runs with black fruit that contains well shaped tannins. Esp 2006 on. This is in fact the Sablet Montmartel, but it wasn`t allowed to be called Sablet this year. 2011-12 July 2005
