2019 ()

(used 228-litre cask) yellow colour; smoke, peach-aniseed, lemon curd, grilling on the nose. The palate opening is aromatic, delivers good flow, length, ends on a pleasing curve, a speckle of mineral. This is refined, closes well, on infused tea, apricot. “It’s a bit more mineral than the Condrieu,” Anthony Paret. 1,500 b this year. 2027-28 Feb 2020

2018 ()

shiny yellow; elderberry, aniseed, smoky airs on the nose, which the cut of the schist. The palate holds savoury, facile gras richness, has a buttery-floral nature, picks up dried fruits, light grip-control on the finish as the terroir kicks in. The aftertaste is peachy. It’s good, well assembled. 13.5°. 2025-26 Feb 2020
