2017 ()

bright dark red; The nose has life in it, well-centred berry fruit, blackberry, a touch of smoke. It’s promising and precise. The palate is likeable with a spring in its step, runs freshly, has a juicy, perfumed finale. This is good, authentic Saint-Joseph. The tannins are fresh, nicely sparked, and the fruit lasts, too. 13.5°. €16. From spring 2019. 2026-27 Dec 2018

2016 ()

dark red; the nose is reserved but promising, gives raspberry with iodine, cool notes. The palate runs with kind red fruits, smokiness towards the finish, a little pepper-flintiness as it ends on the up. This is authentic, above all not pushed. From mid-2019 for more obvious fruit. 13°. 2026-27 Dec 2018
