The Wines

Viognier (2011) from quite hot granite & white soils, some clay, at the foot of the slope at Saint-D├ęsirat, steel vat fermented, raised 5 months, malo blocked, 5,000 b

fine yellow robe; pear fruit, apricot show in a discreet nose. This drinks well, a flavour of white plum, some fat. It lengthens roundly, ends roundly, too. There is a little late detail, apricot on the aftertaste. It’s natural, steady, though there is a tiny late drift, but then it’s from young vines. 13°. 5,000 b. €14. Bottled Feb 2019. To 2022 Feb 2020
