2018 ()

dark robe. Cassis and raspberry liqueur airs with cassis bud lead the nose, which hangs together well, has a firm, sunny curve. The palate comes with mulberry, raspberry fruit, the fruit very persistent – it really reaches out, with drive into the close. The early palate does a lot of the work, is vibrant, liberal. There’s a little iodine on the finish, which is a shade dry, but it has been served cold, and was bottled yesterday. It’s quite wild now, good. 13.5°. 8,500 b. €22. 2029-30 Dec 2019

2015 ()

dark red robe. The bouquet is open, well fruited, has a soft take on the vintage, which is a good thing.  The mulled red berry fruits leave the room for a little extra variety in the future. The palate delivers on the instant, rounded content with a red fruit theme. It’s reserved for now, but will be a soft drinking, rather flattering St Jo for earlier consumption than many. The finish brings licorice, tar-rubber. From spring 2017. 2024-25 Oct 2016
