100% Roussanne (2015) from 0.3 hectare on granite soils on Boissey at Chavanay, direct whole bunch pressing, 3-4 hour cool, severe decantation, fermented at 20°C, raised 1-2 year 228-litre oak casks (2) & 228-litre steel oak cask (1) 10 months, lees lightly stirred, malo completed, fined, filtered, 900 b


full yellow robe; the bouquet involves ripe nectarine, apricot, cooked lime airs, has a buttery side. The palate gives a fatly textured wine, with flecks of oak, neat ripe peach central to it. The mid-palate is a bit tame, and it’s not very long. There is minor freshness on the finish. It drinks now. It’s early days for the vines, which shows. 13.5°. 900 b. €37. 2022-23 Dec 2019
