flinty yellow robe; likeable depth on the nose which is bright, finely filled with orange peel airs, a little ginger snap, vanilla, liquid honey. There is discreet depth, making for a promising start. The palate is honeyed, a little sweet, has a dried fruits flavour, moves to a lip smacking finish, notes of oak-caramel and tannin  there. It has the body for la table, cold cuts, steamed fish, salads. It drinks well, has a good fine tuning of acidity that helps it keep going. There’s a note of vintage strength on the aftertaste. It’s right there now, drink soon is best. 14°. To mid-2021 June 2020
