2018 ()

(cask, bottling Apr 2020) dark robe; has a blackberry floral-aromatic air with style and grace, is all very calm. There are salted notes on the attack, and it holds well in the mid-palate, emphasis on the sun along the second half, the close lip smacking. It’s a bit solar, just keeps the sun at bay. From mid-2021, needs time. 2029-31 Feb 2020

2017

(bottling Apr 2019) dark red; the nose has a vibrant lead, offers blackberry, brambly fruits, strong appeal, mint touches. The palate shows cool, crisp notes of whole bunches, with nerve of the granite. It continues well, goes on the up at the close, where the tannins grip tightly. Its juice has strength. This is bright, well presented, lucid St Jo of good character. 2028-30 Feb 2019
